Platform Update: Custom Python & Perl Runtimes for Windows

Not rendering correctly? View this email as a web page here.

Hi David,

If you've ever had to build Python or Perl runtime environments for a Windows OS, then you're well aware of issues like binding errors, seg faults, compilation errors, dependency resolution, and so on, that hold back productivity.

Now you can automatically build runtimes for Windows on demand with the ActiveState Platform. Just select the language, packages and either Windows 7 or 10. The ActiveState Platform will automatically resolve all dependencies and build your runtime for you in minutes.

If you haven't had the chance, sign up to the Platform and:

  • Fork our pre-built ActivePerl and ActivePython for Windows
  • Create your own custom runtime environments tailored to your requirements
  • Install in a virtual environment on Windows with a single command

Build Now (Free)

The Platform currently supports Python 3.5+ and Perl 5.20+ on 64-bit Windows 7 and 10. Try it out and let us know what you think!

Best,

— The ActiveState Team
