Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is a subscription-based version of the Microsoft Office productivity software suite.

For end users, an important advantage of using Office 365 is being able to access Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and and Microsoft Teams from both desktop and mobile devices.

On the back-end, an important advantage of using Office 365 is that Microsoft is responsible for maintaining the servers that the Office apps live on and Microsoft engineers handle all software updates, including patches.

Beginning April 21, individual plans for Office 365 will be available at $7 a month and family plans (that allow up to six people) will be available for $10 a month. Continue reading...

Today's Takeaway

"With a variety of licensing options and subscription packages, it's easy for organizations to get confused about how to navigate a Microsoft 365 deal. Businesses should approach a Microsoft 365 purchase as a negotiation rather than a straightforward purchase." - Erica Mixon
