Talent activation is a human resources strategy for improving team leadership and employee collaboration. In this approach, front-line managers use surveys and questionnaires on a regular basis to create continuous feedback loops and improve communication between and among workgroups. In order to get the most honest feedback possible, an employee's responses to surveys and questionnaires are anonymized before they are shared with upper management. Talent activation software focuses on employee engagement and is related to talent management and performance management software. Studies show that employees are more productive when they feel their team leader recognizes achievement on a frequent basis and supports their employees' work-life balance; employees who are engaged tend to stay longer and improve the organizations' talent retention rates. Some talent activation software can analyze employee feedback and use machine learning to tailor each employee's future educational experiences. The Marcus Buckingham Company, acquired by workforce management and payroll software vendor ADP in 2017, is closely associated with talent activation systems. ADP developed its own new talent activation software platform, called Compass, and sells both that product and the system it acquired from Marcus Buckingham. SilkRoad also markets a talent activation module as part of its onboarding platform and Namely includes custom surveys and employee appreciation features in its human capital management suite. |
