Five Challenges with Cloud of Things Analytics

Read this blog to learn how to avoid five common pitfalls in Cloud of Things Analytics.

Hello David,

Cloud of Things analytics offers huge potential for operations teams. But transitioning from a datacenter-constrained, on-premises analytics system to an elastic cloud-based platform can be daunting. As you plan the migration to a cloud-based analytics frame, here are key challenges to consider:

Application delivery - once in the public cloud, application delivery services will need to be software-defined to ensure a rich experience for users.

Data security - moving sensitive data beyond the corporate firewall was once considered a risk. Now, keeping data inside could carry greater exposure, but there are still important measures which need to be taken.

Access - user authentication, permissions, and password policies need to be strengthened. In addition, mobile device management may become a factor.

Regulations - once in the public cloud, the analytics solution can be served from data centers around the globe. But with that increased service come country-specific data regulations.
