Word of the Day Daily updates on the latest technology terms | January 7, 2019 SD-branch SoftwareDefined-branch (SD-branch) is a single, automated, centrally managed platform that replaces or supplements an existing remote or branch office (ROBO) network architecture. Networking the remote branch office is a critical, yet challenging, element for most centralized information technology organizations. SD-branch simplifies the process by collapsing multiple network functionalities onto a single platform. SD-branch offers advantages in terms of rapid deployment (branch-in-a-box), lower hardware costs and operational expenditure (Opex) benefits.
